I did this painting in New Melle, Missouri during the 2018 Augusta Plein Air competition. The area was beautiful, the day warm and pleasant, and I even had several fellow artists painting around me. This painting won second place overall in Acrylics - I was pleased, as this was the very first plein air event I competed in. It sold at the event.
